Making a life…and a living.
Syracuse University arms students with the tools they need to succeed in the real world. In fact, 40 percent land jobs before they graduate.
Your student will work with Career Services to develop a resume and practice interviews, get an internship, and network with nearly a quarter of a million alumni. You’ll enjoy a big return on investment…and a sense of relief.
There are some great resources and events on campus that can help make your transition to having a student at Syracuse easier including:
The Parents Office
The Parents Office is here to help you take an active role in your student’s college experience. By sharing academic and social activities, you’ll experience some of the same excitement, discoveries, challenges, and changes your son or daughter will encounter at college.
The Parents Office will communicate with you several times each year to provide orientation, tips, and opportunities, and also let you know about campus events like Family Weekend. The office will also help solve problems and provide crisis intervention and other support services to families. Visit the Parents Office online at parents.syr.edu.
Family Weekend takes place in the fall, and is a great opportunity for you—and everyone integral your students’ growth: parents, guardians, siblings, grandparents, spouses, and friends—to visit campus and see what your student’s life is like at Syracuse.
Family Weekend provides you the opportunity to meet your student’s dean and faculty members, participate in discussions with outstanding faculty and staff, cheer the Orange to victory, enjoy an array of dining experiences, and see entertainment showcasing many of our own students.
