One of the best ways to get a feel for Syracuse University is to visit. The Office of Admissions welcomes visitors throughout the year with weekday campus visits, Syracuse Saturdays, and Orange Previews. Please register in advance of your visit to Syracuse.

All visit options are appropriate for high school students (all grades levels), transfer students, and family members.  



Weekday campus visits give students an overview of the University’s offerings and campus experience complete with a faculty and student panel.

Duration: Three hours total (9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 1 – 4 p.m.)

Includes: Information session, campus tour and academic area visits. (Residence halls are not a part of weekday campus visits.)

9:00 – 10:00: Information Session
10:00 – 11:00: Campus Tour
11:00 – 12:00: Academic Area Visits

1:00 – 2:00: Information Session
2:00 – 3:00: Campus Tour
3:00 – 4:00: Academic Area Visits

Offered: Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

  • Personal interviews are also offered July 1 – December 22, 2016. Advance registration required.
  • Syracuse University’s colleges offer sessions specific to academic interest areas at the conclusion of the tour.  Please note the Newhouse School of Public Communications offers a session at 3 p.m. only and the School of Architecture’s session is daily at 10 a.m.  Visitors who would like to see the School of Architecture or Newhouse School should register for the 1 p.m. Campus Visit.
  • Information sessions for transfer students will be offered on the following dates at 1 p.m. The session will be followed by a campus tour at 2 p.m.

    • December 9 & 16

Syracuse Saturdays give students an overview of the University’s offerings and campus experience.

Duration: 9:15-11 a.m.

Includes: Information session hosted by an admissions officer, faculty, and students, and campus tour (Residence halls are not a part of Syracuse Saturdays.)

Offered: Fall semester programs begin September 17 and conclude December 3, with the exception of November 19 and 26. Personal interviews are offered on a limited basis on Saturdays.

Orange Preview is Syracuse’s open house program for prospective first year and transfer students.

Duration: Full day (8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. )

Includes: Information sessions on academic opportunities, lunch on campus, and tours of the campus and residence halls.

8:30 – 9:45: Check-in
8:45 – 9:30: Campus Tour
9:45 – 10:30: Welcome
10:45 – 12:00: College Sessions
12:00 – 1:00: Lunch & Residence Hall Open House
12:30 – 2:30: Campus Tours
1:30 – 2:00: Admissions & Financial Aid Information Session
1:30 – 3:30: Optional Academic and Interest Area Open Houses
