As I sit here at my campus house, in the freezing cold (yes, house and outside temperature), overwhelmed by the amount of Facebook photos from friends that I have abroad in London and various other countries this semester, oh am I sad.
I can’t believe that I was in their shoes a little over a year ago. Don’t get me wrong, I am so extremely happy and excited for them but seeing all of these great photos makes me miss the most amazing semester that I ever had here at Syracuse University. Well, I was not actually in Syracuse of course, but if I didn’t choose to come here for my education, I likely would not have gone abroad or even had that opportunity.
Did you know that not every school gives students that amazing opportunity to go live in another country, another world, for 3.5 months? If you REALLY know that you want to go abroad, definitely check out our study abroad program: suabroad.syr.edu
The office and staff are great. So helpful and honest about different countries and if you are unsure where you may want to study, they can give you great advise based on your personality, living style, etc…
And, there are information sessions a few times throughout every semester where you’ll be fed some great information regarding different classes, countries and lifestyles in these “homes away from homes.”
If you ever have any questions or want to just chat about my experience, feel free to reach out to me via email and I’d be glad to give you any honest advise you’d like.
