When you think of Rome, Italy, I bet the first thing that comes to your mind is the well known Coliseum. Well, I can tell you that after my visit there this past weekend, there is far more to visit in this beautiful city than just the huge Coliseum. Not trying to downplay the Coliseum at all, but my favorite site in the city was Trevi Fountain.
My friends and I toured the city, in the soaking, cold and overall not too pleasant down pouring rain that fell all day long. But we didn’t let the fact that we were soaked ruin our day. Aside from Trevi Fountain and the Coliseum, we saw the Spanish Steps, the Vatican, and the Pantheon all in one day. Actually, we saw the Foutain twice, once at night when it was all lit up too!
My favorite spot being the Fountain, I will tell you a little about it incase you’ve no clue what I am talking about. First off, you must make a wish and throw a penny into the Fountain before you leave (and take a cool picture of you actually tossing it if you’re a photo-craze like me!); the tossing means you will return to Rome some day J. Also, this Fountain is the largest and most beautiful in the world.
So if you’re headed to Rome sometime soon, make sure you don’t miss out on this architecturally brilliant Fountain.
