Have you ever dreamed of being the person behind the camera, like Sam Champion or Robin Roberts on Good Morning America or like Kathie and Hoda on the Today Show? Well, your dream may turn into a reality if you come to the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications here at Syracuse University.

Second semester sophomore year, I received that acceptance letter, saying that I was now a student at Newhouse! Ever since transferring into Newhouse, my love of SU has grown tremendously. From the top-notch professors to the state-of-the-art classrooms and technology, Newhouse has it all and can therefore give us—the students—everything needed to succeed.

Newhouse offers majors in: Broadcast & Digital Journalism, Photography, Graphic Design, Magazine, Advertising, Newspaper & Online Journalism, Public Relations and Television, Radio & Film.  With this huge list of options, you’ll be sure to find classes that interest you and you’ll fall in love with all there is to do at Newhouse.

A few years ago, Newhouse was named the #1 journalism school by the news professional magazine NewsPro. Additionally, it was ranked number 10 on the top journalism schools in the country.

But even if you’re not a communications buff and have no desire to go into any photography or graphics field, Syracuse University has an endless list of other majors where you’ll likely find your top choice.
