The Nutrition and Dietetics and Nutrition Science majors empower students to study the science of applying food and nutrition to health. The degrees incorporate biological and physical sciences and prepare students for careers in:

Practical Experience

In addition to coursework, Falk College provides extensive field and extracurricular opportunities so that students can earn hands-on experience in the nutrition industry.

  • Study small-quantity food preparation and food science in the Experimental Foods Laboratory.
  • Put your skills to the test as a member of Orange Wrap, a student group that hosts campus programs on healthy eating.
  • Participate in the dietetic internship program —accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. (Exclusive to Nutrition/Dietetics).
  • Join NEPA— the student-run Nutrition Education & Promotion Association that brings together students interested in nutrition and works to affect healthy changes in the community.
